Whats the chances of me getting into UF, also what do you think I can do to make my chances better.
Im a Junior, sat 1750, act 28
3.3 unweighted gpa, 4.20 weighted.

AICE diploma
8 AICE classes
5 AP Classes
several honors classes
All classes are academic, only 2 that are electives.

National Honor Society
over 200 community service hours
worked for 2 years

top 17 % out of 700 students
a few clubs in school beside NHS

planning on taking 5 AP classes in senior year

Do I have a shot of getting in? Hoping to improve my SAT and ACT by taking both tests again at beginning of senior year.

University of Florida student body (high school profile):

88% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
8% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
2% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
1% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
1% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

Work to bring your GPA up to 3.5+ during your senior year; with a strong SAT/ACT score, that will give you better chances.

I got into UF but my UW wasn’t as low. I think you have a good chance honestly because they weren’t THAT picky this year, but at the same time, we had a good class at my school.

A 28 ACT is great and your SAT score isn’t too bad. Your scores aren’t Ivy material but they are great for the school. I agree with SandroRodigues… possibly keep your UW to a 3.5 if possible. I don’t understand how you’re in top 17% with your GPA though unless your school is SUPER competitive.

well, yes the school is competitive. A portion is a magnet program in science, technology, math and engineering. Approximately 250 of the 700 inmates in my class. These 250 are taking mostly ap, aice, and honors class. I havent taken a regular class since I was forced to in my freshman year. Those were my only two regular classes, spanish and gym. This year im in honors spanish 3 and its tough.
