Ive heard of people who have been rescinded (sp?) for going under the GPA cutoff in the final semester, and I am very worried now in regards to my grade in my business calculus class. I was originally taking 3 classes, however because I am already at my 60 units, the person processing my application said that it would not effect my admission if I dropped the class (received a W).

I should also mention that I am going into an impacted major (Business Management Info Systems), and business calc is one of the requirements for the major. I know that if this wasn't an impacted program, all I needed to do was pass all my classes, however I am unfamiliar with how impacted programs are treated by the admissions department so I am getting very stressed out, especially because I want to find a place to live in long beach ASAP.

I currently have a GPA of 3.26. I am hoping for two Bs in my classes (two 5 unit classes), which will drop my gpa to 3.21. However, I literally have an 80% in my calc class, so if it does drop to a C, my GPA will go down to 3.11

Can such a drop affect my chances of getting in? Will getting a C in an important class like Business Calc affect my chances? Should I hold off on looking for housing?
