Getting pumped for PSAT scores.

totally agree woo
Math - much harder (imo)
CR - slighty -moderately harder
WR - same ( many of my friends thought it was harder though - i dunno)

Based on this .. this yr's curve has to be more generous... i hope =/

Argh! That is so not cool. Stupid hurricane... I wonder where my scores are even being mailed? Maybe they'll make the curve easier on the make-up PSAT out of sympathy? Haha.

Seriously though, anyone know how they curve the make-ups? It seems like it was harder than the normal ones.

17% of my school is a Semifinalist or Commended.

In 2004 my school had 10 semifinalists and 52 commended, my district had 20 semifinalists.
In 2003 my district had 30 semifinalists.

One of our '04 graduates is featured in the "Steps in the 2007 Merit Scholarship Competition" document.

CT is hard to make national merit. i so screwed! we're second only to like massachusetts or something. i know i messed up BIG time on the math section!

BUMP!!!(damn character limit)

woo89 how was this year's test the first real PSAT? I think it's been around for some time now.
I wish CB would post the scores online and save use the anxiety of waiting

I wish there was one national cutoff of like 210 or so for semi-finalist. screw state representation.

and my school has 1 semi-finalist and 4 commended out of 500+ seniors...pretty pathetic.

I knowwww I hate being from an overperforming state.

power to the jerseyans!

I think the writing section mutilated me. I hate the writing section! :-

lol glucose, the critical reading section mutilated me :/

I'm pretty sure I got two wrong and skipped one in math, so I'm pretty disappointed with that.

what do you think a raw score of 46 CR and 33 M will be this time?

theblumuffin...get over yourself!

skipping one in math does suck a lot, because the math curve is relentless.

Does anyone think the math curve could possibly be:
80 80 .... since last year's curve didn't work out too well?

I've never seen the 80 80 happen for math, especially for PSAT's, but maybe for the new Algebra II PSAT it could?

Even a 80 79 or 80 78 would be good. Ugh, stupid tiles question :-

what was the tiles question? do you remember? I forget if I answered it/if i got it right

The answer was 200, if I remember correctly. However, a good portion of us put 40 because they forgot to multiply by 5.

Do you guys think this year's CR curve will be more generous? Last year's was kinda harsh, especially compared to the CB Bulletin sample PSAT curve.
