I'm currently getting a D in my physics class. UCLA's provisional contract states that I need an unweighted average of a B for senior year, which shouldn't be a problem (I got straight A's first semester), but my D in physics is a problem. I could definitely raise it by the end of the school year, but there's still a chance the grade will stick. Should I write UCLA a letter warning them that I may get a D? Thanks, guys.

Your senior year GPA needs to be a 3.0 or above.

You’re subject to revocation of an offer of admission if you get any Ds or Fs or three Cs, i believe.
So if you get an official D notation on your high school transcript for your senior year then you need to notify UCLA promptly with an explanation. This is a violation of the provisional admission contract.

I’d work my butt off to NOT get that D if I were you

I can’t say if you will or will not get rescinded, no one can…but it’s definitely not good to violate the provisional contract.

Good luck.
