Getting rid of C's

Is there's a way I can get rid of C's in my transcript? I understand you need D's or F's in order to get rid it all together, but how about C's? It would be nice to get rid of couple of them.

You’re looking for a shortcut to retaking a class?

This is like the fifth thread I have seen like this now.

NO, there is absolutely no way to “get rid” of C’s. UC’s will not take any grade in a class you retake into consideration unless you recieved an original grade of D, F or NP.

Next time try harder in your classes, a C just shows a lack of interest and effort.

Eat the C’s on your transcript and kick it into high gear from here on out if you want to transfer to a high quality university.

^LMAO^ very true

getting rid of C’s is not possible. Just avoid getting them altogether.

Cs show a lot of things actually, such as:

taking too much *@#% at the same time
unreasonable teachers
LOUSY teachers
Incompetence
Inferiority
Carelessness
Too much work
Crappy family
Crappy gf/bf

Sometimes, all of the above - and then there’s the times you just throw your arms in the air and say ***? I got a C. Hell, that happened in my physics class: My teacher seemed to like me, I scored nicely on the tests, had 9s/10s on my labs (and thus, most people wanted to work in my lab group :>)… and uh…

Then I got dinged badly for quizzes and homework, which the teacher said wouldn’t be counted in our grades (I saw my grade,it was a B!)… in the end I got a C.

So you got a C. Some people go around here claiming they get nothing but As - and they write like idiots too. Actually, I’d be willing to bet there’s no such thing as a 4.0 GPA on this forum and everyone that says they have one is a pathetic liar.

Just like the ~250 2400 SAT score people. XD

@wwlink: Yeah? Really? You sound like a fool. It all comes down to who wants it. If you want it bad enough you’ll get it done… bad teacher, family, gf or bf theres no excuse for an effin C. Especially if you claim to want to go to one of the top schools in the country.

You should have gotten your homework done and prepped for quizzes…thats all your fault.

Those with the bad grades blame it on everyone but themselves. I’ve had bad teachers and a rough family life and daunting odds stacked against me, but I got it done…with a 4.0, and YES I DO HAVE 4.0.

Still wanna bet? I’ll email you my transcripts so you can ****, you P R I C K.

Got a bad GF??.. dump the *****.

Ok, show us your transcript. I’m sure you’ve shown your parents, and the whole town if you could. What major are you in? Is it math heavy? No? I didn’t think so. The reasons I stated above were not my reasons, and I probably should’ve noted that before I ranted about my physics teacher being a jerk.

There is no excuse for getting a C? Are you on crack. Don’t worry, there will be a day that you get a C, and there will be many people that do better in life than you with a C on their transcript. In fact, I bet your future boss has an F on their transcript somewhere.

PS: happy new year!

Im known on this forum to be an ECONOMICS MAJOR. Look at any of my old posts. And yeah, Ive shown them because they ask about my school work and how im doing. They are indeed bankrolling this entire operation so I let them know their money is put to good use. The whole town? Ha!, no. I bet you would if you had a 4.0 though.

Anyway, if you arent completely stupid, you know Econ is math heavy and I plan on double majoring in Statistics.

Yeah, no excuse for a C at CC, if you plan to go to, like I said, TO A TOP RESEARCH INSTITUTION.

Doubt Ill get a C but ok. And “better in life” is subjective. And no, my future boss wont because my intended field of employment only attracts the best and brightest.

Happy beancounting :)

■■■■■■, ■■■■■■ everywhere. I love it; provides me with loads of amusement.

But er, yeah…no excuse for a C? No offense, but that’s one of the more stupid comments I’ve read here at CC, and I’ve lurked for quite a while. You sound like one hell of an elitist-dude.

I hope to the higher power of your choosing that I’m merely feeding the ■■■■■ and not actually starting a flame war on CC.

Post Scriptum: FDR was an average C/B student: He got four terms and was one of the greatest US Presidents EVAR.

SOCIALISM FTW.

Lol

It’s community college.

A 4.00 isn’t that hard to attain.

Haha

4.0 isn’t impossible at CC, not by a long shot. A friend of mine graduated with a 3.93 last year and she’t not the most gifted person you’ll ever meet.

I would bet my life savings that there are multiple people on this board who have 4.0s from a CC.

what about not getting 4.0’s in high school

Grimes, that may be the case - fine I wouldn’t discount the fact. There might be a genuine 2400 SAT score person on the board too, but I don’t think they roam in such heavy quantities lol.

And of course, some CCs are much easier than others - some of my friends that drop classes when they think they’re going to get a B or C ended up taking their science classes at another CC lol :D

Sorry, I did forget THAT - must’ve been the new years drinks getting to my head. XD

Whatever, happy new year guys :D

I’m not really sure why you’re using the SAT as an example. There are plenty of people who lie about getting 2400s since it’s a fairly rare achievement and incredibly challenging. 300ish people out of what, 1 to 1.5 million test takers a year?

A 4.0 GPA at a community college is very achievable and incredibly common. Have you ever looked at the data for transfers at UCLA and Cal? The average GPA for comm/econ at UCLA is incredibly close to 4.0 and I wouldn’t be surprised if the median GPA for those 2 majors was a 4.0. I believe EVERYONE is capable of a 4.0 at a community college, even with the occasional difficult teacher. If an idiot like me can maintain a 4.0, I’m sure most people can. You don’t need to be smart to get a 4.0 at community college. It’s all about effort.

A 4.0 as an engineering or science major is very impressive though. I don’t think I could manage that.

Bro, even if you get a 2.7 GPA, you’re guaranteed acceptance to ivies for grad school lmao

???

This thread is delicious.
