To make a long story short, I interviewed for GHP, thought I failed horribly (dude, they were jabbing me with bits o' criticism), applied for TASS, became Finalist (interview this Sunday), suddenly looks online and sees that I actually made GHP!?

Should I do GHP or TASS? Continue with the TASS interview process or just fill out the GHP finalist form? I really like both programs...

ARGGG >_<

I would deeply appreciate any suggestions/advice. Thank you! <3 :)

TASS is a great program, and ties in to some future opportunities which aren’t advertised to applicants at this point. So unless you have to decide right now because GHP has a reply deadline, you might as well stay in the running for TASS.

OP, besides her major, she was fitness minor. I told her you had made it and she was wondering if state budget cuts have done anything to the program. Are they still fully funding the 6 weeks?

TASS is extremely competitive, it’s a nationally recognized name, and it’s more than just Iowa (I’m sorry, I’m from the Midwest, too, but Iowa is just boring.) … but of course it’s not just about the name. I think that TASS just offers a very unique experience.

Also, IDK what you do at GHP, but I went to a governor’s school program last year and it was really more of a “personal development” thing rather than an educational program. It was only three weeks, and a bit less structured than GHP seems (from a quick scan of their website), but IMO, TASS will be more beneficial to you if you get in.
