Glen Mor

I just got the 4 bedroom/2 bathroom Apartment for next fall.Just wanted everyone to know lol.

Considering how I currently live in a hell hole aka West Lo.

cool story bro.

Why didn’t you go for stonehaven yo?

@psalomon. i lol’d.

but jeff, you shoulda gotten a house for four people. it’s more worth your money.

I thought about it, but I want to remain on campus for another year and I want the meal plan that goes with it…

DONT DO IT!
Unless you are loaded with cash, or have finaid cover it all. I made the typical freshmen mistake of moving into glenmor… I even fought for it! (no joke) Fought for it all the way up to the higher hosing folks… and also had to do the same fight to get out.

The place looks amazing! When I moved into Glenmor from Sterling(summer), I thought I was going into a 5-star hotel! The meal plan was a nice bonus and there was housekeeping! I really loved the housekeeper, she was very nice. It was all very nice and looked clean. The computer lab was close and so was the c-store. But, the D building elevator was hell. The kitchen cabinet we’re designed by a 5yrl, and the bedroom… its small. The parking lot is a mile away, and you have to really walk a mile to get to you car all the way at the end of the Pentland Hills parking lot because the new freshmen will take up the spots close to GlenMor. The trash room is on the first floor, locked and you need to use a key to open it. Also, walking up that hill again for another year, and then going allllll the way to the end of Pentland to finally get to my building… there has to be something better! Worst of all is…

$1100!!! $1100!!! $1100!!! $1100!!!
That is how much you are paying per month (w/ parking)!

I just rest my case here, but just a few more words.
For that much money, The bed room you get is not worth it. The bedroom is the size of Sterling’s closet (almost)! All the other apartment’s owned by UCR are just as close if not closer to campus, most of them are across the street.

It’s too late for our buddy up there, however for the rest of ya’ll, do your research, then some more, and find a decent place to live at a decent price. :]

ps, I normally have positive things to say about UCR, but ucr housing is a nogo… I hope you’ll never have to learn how evil and horrible they are.

pss, I’ve lived in:
West Lothian, Pentland, Sterling, UVT (kind of lol), GlenMor, and now reside in Falkirk.

Financial AID is covering all of it. So i’m not paying a dime.Furthermore West Lothian sucks, I live in it right now…Glen Mor will be much better than West Lo, that much I know.

Nicee! If the Governator is paying for it all, then go for it! You’ll get to live like a king in your brand new hotel! In fact, it is so new, that you’ll be the 4th person to lived in your GlenMor room, rather that the 10000th person in your WeLo room! Even more so, go ahead and upgrade to the FlexMax plan at instead of the FlexMor that is included with your stay at GlenMor.
