A friend of mine got it today, the letter’s dated December 12. I’m still waiting…
To those who applied with Modern Minds, is that only for specific people who got invited?

S got an email notifying him he was admitted today! Happy and welcome news! No letter yet.

Mom got an email saying I am accepted to class of 2018!!! But no admission letter/email yet to me…go figure. But I am happy.

So did I. I guess the letters are still being sent out somehow. Oh well at least we have an answer.

Update: I still have not received a mail about my acceptance; however, I did receive an email stating that I was admitted. Finally, I am not very worried. Hope everyone gets their letter soon. Also, if you email them, you will probably get your result.

I just got an email stating I was admitted. The official letter should come soon, but I’m not worried anymore. Happy Holidays everyone!!!

We almost overlooked our son’s acceptance e-mail last night (December 22nd)! It was included in a Holiday greeting message!! Read your e-mails carefully! He also applied using the Modern Minds application (oos - NC)!

I recieved the admission packet in the mail today. Now I know it’s real.

Still haven’t received mine, how do I contact them?

I just checked the GMU website and it says that for early action applications “decisions being to mail December 15” and for honors college, university scholars, and merit scholarships “decisions begin to mail mid-February.”

Kingfirejet, I suppose you would contact the Mason admissions office (link for contact info): http://admissions.gmu.edu/contactUs/default.asp

Has everyone who got the email also received the snail mail envelope? Nothing here in the mail yet but S got the email on the 23rd.

Ok big white envelope has arrived. S was good with the email; I like the actual paper letter.

@singitbrookieg: did u get into GMU for early action?

Does anyone know whether you receive your Honors College with your Early Action response or if they both come separately?

Hi! I’m a current student at GMU! I can answer some questions! I’m not sure about the Honors college letter being separate or not, I’d call the school about that one. For those of you wondering when your admission letters should come, most arrive before Christmas, but some come afterwards. It truly depends on where you were in the stack. If yours is late, that does not mean you didn’t get in, as many people from my school received their acceptances late for some reason. Some people may get their acceptance letter early, which I have also seen last year. For those of you that get on the waitlist, make sure to sign up immediately if you still want a chance to get in. I was on the waitlist last year, and believe me, I was glad to see that I got in. However, don’t expect your waitlist decision to get back before May. While you are on the waitlist, you are allowed to add anything to your profile such as new SAT scores and accomplishments. Pretty much, after making initial decisions, they’ll look through the waitlist and see what else they may need at the university. Happy acceptance season and I truly hope the odds are in your favor!
