Go Bruins!!!! UCLA!!!!

can someone start a new UCLA related thread ... with rules not allowing immature people to post.

Seriously, the people on these boards surprise me.

just ignore her, guys. She gets off on you guys attacking her. She thinks she's better than everyone else and so what? let her think that way; maybe someday she'll realize that undergrad school doesn't matter as much as grad school...getting into cal is prob the highlight of her life. Let her be happy about that. Who seriously cares what she thinks? ignore it and it'll go away.

"maybe someday she'll realize that undergrad school doesn't matter as much as grad school."

aubstopper, i don't understand in the premed forums, everybody was saying it doesn't matter at all, what grad school you got, because ultimately you become a doctor and unless you go into academic medicine (teaching) the college name is worthless, and just getting into A med school is a big achievement, then that means the better and more rigorous your undergrad school is, the higher your chances right????????

so now i am confused i used to dream of attending harvard, jhu or UCSF med school, but the med people changed my mind, and now after your post i am thinking about them again.

"Tallkell, also note that I got in UCLA, UCB (UCB math is #1 in the nation, UCB communication isn't #1 in the nation) and USC as well! If you wanna compare, I beat you by one school!"

If I applied to USC, I would have gotten in. USC is a joke.

Also, for whoever said getting into UCLA and UCB is the highlight of my life? Well, YES!! Just like getting into UCLA law will be the highlight of my life in two years...

You all can bash communications, my intelligence, anything you want. The bottom line is, all four schools I applied to accepted me. That speaks for itself.

Not really. You had the CCC system on your side. As I argued earlier, had you applied to any top 25 school out of state, you would have been rejected. The UC system allows you to apply without an SAT score and without UCs seeing your HS transcript.

You had it too easy, so getting accepted speaks for nothing but the fact that you can write semi-coherent essays and that you do not sleep in classes.

"btw..i'm a super hot girl..not a guy"

pics or ban... :D

"Not really. You had the CCC system on your side. As I argued earlier, had you applied to any top 25 school out of state, you would have been rejected."

You have no idea if I would have gotten in or not out of state. And I can write perfect essays..which is why I received As in all my English classes. How I write on a silly forum is no reflection of how I write English papers.

Back to the point..you are all just jealous. I understand though, I would be too.

tallkell, yes your accomplishments are worth being proud of, and yes some people on here might be jealous, but have you ever heard of a little concept called being humble? That will get you further than being boa****l and demeaning anyday.

I don't know why that word got edited. It was b o a s t f u l

tallkell, did you apply to USC? No! Then you can not claim you can get into USC!
Getting into UCB or UCLA does NOT by any mean= getting into USC, it only means you get into UCLA and UCB!
Even if you get into Harvard, that again does NOT by any mean= getting into USC, it only means you get into Harvard!
May be it is too hard for you to understand, it is ok, take your time!

Again, you show off again! That does not make you any smarter! Well, what it really does is that it boosts your confidence so much you just ignorantly become a completely arrogant person!

Besides, I got in all 8 schools I applied, so I also beat you on the number of schools I got in ahahahahahahah! Whatever, you aren't any superior than anyone here! You have annoyed a great number of members here, though!

I saw you as a cool tallkell before you get accepted to UCB and you were so nice but wow, after you got into UCB, you really showed your real self--completely arrogant person who looks down on many members here!

Please tallkell, you are not anymore like a 3 year old kid!

No, I am quite confident in my assessment.

How can I be jealous when I was admitted at better universities?

Woooo! A's in remedial English classes...

Guys... this is the end!
TallKell, you competely ruin this thread: This thread is supposed to be celerbating for UCLA acceptances and for people who would choose to go to UCLA! DIDN'T you read the title!

I'll remake a new GO BRUIN, UCLA thread! PLEASE don't post irrelevant point there again!

Funny thing is nspeds, not to defend her(or him) in any way, and speaking as a ucb rejectee (who also app'd to 2 other top 25 schools outside of california, g-town and penn (#4)) i hope your wrong! lol And, the thing is i bet more people (in general) would recognize Berkeley. My english instructor, who seems fairly well informed, thought Penn was a state school (like Penn State). I think that's why if you check on the US News rankings, berkeley has one of the highest peer assessment scores.

Another thing, your argument works both ways. Those outside of California will have a much harder time of getting in UCB. Even with out of state applicants coming from a top 25, nothing aside from perhaps a HYPM background would guarantee an admission.

Well, considering in tallkells head the only thing that makes one university better than another is what # they are in the USNews report, that doesn't really matter. Penn is #4, therefore everyone who goes there is more intelligent than anyone who goes to #5 or lower. And if you disagree, you are just jealous.

Redicilous.

I'm jealous that Tallkell is hot. It should be a crime to be good looking and be admitted into some of the top universities. She'll have a distinct advantage over all of us in the real world.

that is exactly tallkell's argument!!!! well, a little kid will be convinced with that point, though! :D

A little kid say: "I'm in 5th grade, therefore, i'm smarter than all of you who are in 4th grade... boo, 4th graders losers!"

:D

Wow talk about the battle of egos... You all received acceptances into excellent schools. Please stop bashing each other. It does little to further the knowledge of what we all have gained to the next generation of applicants. If you do wish to continue your discourse, take it off the forums, or at least into non-informative forum like off-topic.

I was admitted at the University of Chicago and Rice. The former school is often noted as even better than the Ivys when it comes to academics.

Also keep in mind that while UCB boasts excellent graduate programs, the undergraduate program overall cannot compete with the likes of Rice and UChicago, both of which have small student/faculty ratios and superb academics.

"It does little to further the knowledge of what we all have gained to the next generation of applicants"

If anything, this thread will discourage high school students from enrolling in CC because they'll see how deficient we are. :D That could be a good thing.
