Golf?

I'm definitely not good enough to make the golf team at UW, but I was wondering if they have a University golf course. When I visited ASU they were telling me about their team's course and how students can play for $8 with a cart. Obviously not a deal braker, but it'd be nice if UW had something similar.

So, does anybody know if there's a more casual golf club on campus or a golf course where students can play for very little money?

crosses fingers

The UW has a fine course. I'm sure there is a club for golf as well as imtramurals.

Looks beautiful. I'm considering bringing my clubs when I visit later this month...

Can't wait :D

Thanks again!

Whoops--typo--intramurals.

They use the University Ridge golf course for the state high school boys/girls golf championships each year. A lot of people in Wisconsin golf, from many socioeconomic levels. BTW, use white balls in the fall, easier to find amongst the leaves, and if you get a chance in the winter- orange, of course!

Yeah I pretty much spend all my free time golfing when I can afford it. Year-round here in AZ :)

I'm glad to hear Wisconsinites like golf. I was becoming afraid that maybe people didn't like it because the weather isn't good enough to play for so much of the year.

On the topic of sports. Are there any acitivites which can be pursued purely for fun? Like I cant make the soccer team for example, but I do want to play with people around the same skill level as me. What are these types of sports called? Intramurals? Varsity?

Recreational and intramural are for fun. Info on UW website.
