So I've decided to write my common app essay on the first time I went out of my comfort zone. It will basically talk about how me training for tennis outside on a hot day was the first time I really had to push myself, and how this experience, and other similar ones, have impacted other areas of my life.
Is this a good topic? or is it too cliche?

As with all essays, it depends on how you write it. If your voice really shines through and that makes it different, it will be an excellent essay. However, students are usually advised to stay away from sports topics because they are very common and as a result it is harder to stand out.

thank youu. that’s what I was thinking. I’m not a particularly amazing writer, so I don’t think I can make a topic like this sound super unique
