It can be anything, the more contraversial the better!
For class we had to come up with some. Mostly everyone said abortion and immigration.
What other one's would bring an all out war?

Depending on where you live and the politics within your school: the Affordable Care Act, school prayer, death penalty, raising the minimum wage, marijuana legalization, gay marriage, gun control, affirmative action.

Prostitution, women in combat, lowering the drinking age to 18, whether God exists, climate change, polyamory, free will, standardized testing.

Hmmmm, those are good too. One.person said.women in combat, but since my class lives under a rock, the only topics people say are abortion, immigration, and marriage rights.
Good topics. I might suggest these.

Religion is always brilliant to debate

Probably not going to be the popular topic in class, but my last debate topic for LD was “In a democracy, civil disobedience is morally justified.” It ended up being pretty interesting.

I personally love religion and politics, such as abortion, gun law, soda ban, communism… My 7th grade ela teacher gave me some interesting questions, such as “is war a necessary evil” and “good always prevails over evil”. They were pretty fun to talk about

The NSA maybe

Look up any past Public Forum topics

Whether God should be in the Pledge of Allegiance or not. That would be an interesting one, because some would take the religious stance and say God exists, some would say religious freedom, some would say since it’s been in so long, might as well keep it in, etc.

It’s only been there since the 1950s.

Still, I’m sure there would be some kids who’d say, “Well, it’s historical” or something like that for the sake of an argument.

Euthanasia is a good one.

I came up with the best one…

Mac vs. Pc.
There you have it people.

But that one seems a little one-sided though…

pcmasterrace

I shouted this out in class and people were like" what’s a mac?" I was like, really people, :/

I just realized I’ve never used a Mac laptop/desktop computer. Like I’ve never even touched one. I wonder if that’s weird.

^No, I don’t think so. Most people don’t own Mac’s, and at least at my school, only the yearbook and newspaper kids use them because they have better design programs.

(Perks of being a journalism student :D)

^ That is the case at my school. I think Android vs. IPhone would turn my class into savages lol.

animal testing, chicken or egg, human cloning, electoral college, zoos, stem cell research, twilight vs hunger games

^ oh don’t even get me started on Twilight vs. Hunger Games. I could go on for scores talking about this topic.
I wish we could debate this one, but unfortunately my teacher said “absolutely no twilight topics.”
