Good Emo Songs?

I think I'm starting to like Emo music.
I've heard some stray light run and panic! at the disco and really liked them. However, I didn't like Fall out Boy when I heard them. Any suggestions?

I think 30 seconds to mars would be considered Emo.

P.S

FOB is damn good.

Also The red jumpsuit apparatus is a good band.

I like there song Face Down.

cheer up emo kid.

try the bands.. Cartel, Armor for Sleep, Matchbook Romance, Senses Fail, Saves the Day, The Used

also if you like Straylight Run..you'll probably like The Early November..

check them out.. see what u think..

none of that is music.

they are robbing your impressionable minds blind.

yeah i agree with holden for the most part. "emo" is crappy pop music. HOWEVER straylight run has some good songs (sympathy for the martyr, another word for desperate, existentialism).
and i'm glad you recognized that FOB is garbage :)
if you like emo, try A Perfect Circle--it's what emo wishes it was.

FOB is complete crap. Emo music is okay. Here ar some songs.

Senses Fail - Irony of Dying on Your Birthday

Anberlin - Naive Orleans, Never Take Friendship Personal, Foreign Language

Augustana is always good, but my favorites are Bullets and Hotel Roosevelt.

A lot of people like FM Static. The only song I really like from them is Hey Now.

Jimmy Eat World - Kill (>.< I love this song..)

Matchbook Romance - Tiger Lily

Mest - Cadillac

The Starting Line - The Best of Me

However, if you ever want better music than emo music, come talk to me. ;)

A Perferct Circle is good..but really different compared to the other bands u mentioned..but you might like them..

alot of the songs Me.duh mentioned are good "emo" songs..lol but emo music is kind of fading out at the moment..last few years it has been really big..some of favorite bands are emo..but u might want to check out some of the older stuff by these bands..all new "emo" music is turning into mainstream, TRL crap.

try some old Taking Back Sunday..

A Perfect Circle is a good band. Do not ever mention their name and 'emo' in the same sentence..or paragraph.

How about Dashboard Confessional? A lot of people say they are emo. They're really good.

Dashboard is said to be one of the first emo bands ever. They are very good.

I think "good emo music" is an oxymoron.

^ amen to that

yeah if a band is good then they'll hesitate to identify themselves as emo. emo is thinly veiled "pop" that thinks it's profound. nice try, but no.
now go listen to some quality music. the definition of that varies. Metallica is quite good.

Jimbob, I'm boarding my horizons. I've been a big Metal Head for some time, and now I'm branching off into pop. I won't deny that master of puppets and creeping death are two of my favorites, but I think this is worth doing.

(haven't downloaded a lot yet, but Face Down -red jumpsuit apparatus was good!)

I'm sorry but i really like emo music.

Senses Fail - NJ Falls into the Atlantic, Buried a Lie
Jimmy Eat World - Kill,23,a bunch of others
FOB- well i liked the whole album minus like two of them
The Academy is...-Slow Down, Almost Here, Checkmarks, Seasons....
Panic! At the Disco- But it's better if you do, lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off
Dashboard Confessional -Again I go Unnoticed, Don't wait
Taking Back Sunday - MakeDamnSure
AUGUSTANA- Boston, Stars & Boulevards
(this isn't emo but..) def check out The Fray, like Over My Head, Look After you, and how to save a life
CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR- There's a class for this
Jack's Mannequin - the whole album, some popular ones are The Mixed Tape and Dark Blue
Snow Patrol- Run, Chasing Cars
matchboon romance -you can run, but we'll find you, promise, surrender, monsters
Something Corporate - Drunk Girl, Woke up in a car
The Used - blue & yellow

I've been a big Metal Head for some time

apperently not. metalheads stay with metal, pretenders "branch off". it's like giving up a ferrari for a mustang.

The Fray is amazing. My favs: How to Save a Life, Vienna

Well I don't just listen to metal, but I do only listen to rock. A lot of rock and metal suck, but I require excellent musicianship and pop doesn't provide that...so I must go with older rockers (Dream Theater being a new exception). I could do without vocalists. When there are vocals, they have to be saying stuff that isn't stupid, and they can't be impossible to listen to. That being said, my tolerance is pretty high.
PM me if you want some really good instrumental rock.
