i got a 32 my first time, and a 1450 on the sat. im taking the act again day after tomorrow, but is it really necessary to improve my score? is a 32 good enough for top 10 colleges?

Even if you have a 33+, I'm pretty sure it still wouldn't be a guarantee that you would get into the top 10...

i know that, but how much would a higher score help?

You should read the Fiske guide for Colleges because it will answer all your questions about colleges...

Typically, the middle 50% of admitted students to top 10 LACs had ACT scores of 28-32. 25% of admitted students had scores higher than 32, and another 25% had scores lower than 28. Being in the median is a good thing. Your 32 will be FINE.

Ultimately, however, test scores do not make or break you into college admissions. They're merely a factor. A 32 is a nice factor.
