Good High School Jobs

lol... ec whores.

If you are an excellent ice skater or golfer, teaching little kids how to skate or golf are both good jobs.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I never thought it would take up 2 pages so quickly!

Anyway, what's the minimum age for most of these jobs?

Im desperatly looking for a summer job now. Do these tutoring centers hire 18 year olds? And how would I go about getting these jobs?

kchen's right. I make 26/hour teaching group lessons (skating) and 40/hour teaching privates, and if I lived in Delaware, Boston, or California, I'd be making even more! I work about a fourth what my friends do and still make more money.

Yeah, I have a friend that earns $50/hour for teaching private skating lessons to disabled children. I wish I could skate. If I am considering a job this summer, I'm probably settling for private piano lessons. $25/hour. Not that bad.

=] Ha ha ha BestMiler1. >D That reminds me of a song. I will do anything for love, but I won't do that!

by who????????????????????????????????

I remember hearing that song on a Dr. Pepper commercial...

cool.......im about to go check it out

would writing articles for wikipedia count as volunteer work?

bump......./.............

My friends tutor for 20/hour. I'm doing 15/hour cause the guy's my friend. =P

best buy ftw. they start you at $8 - 9, work you any hours you want, let you take whatever off for school. It is honestly perfect.

That and if you're full time (32+ hours a week though) they'll pay for part of college for ya.

I have about 20 - 22 hours a week, it really is not too much.

I tutor 4 hours/week, translating to $60/week. When I get a real customer (as in someone I'm not already friends with) then I'll charge $20/hour. :D

BestMiler: Some people work instead of the nobler option of community service because they might actualy need the money!

How do you start tutoring? Do you have to be involved with a company? I've had people ask me to tutor them, but I didn't feel right taking money from my friends.

I scoop ice cream... its an ok job b/c you get hourly wages and tips... and last year my boss gave the kid that graduated a $500 bonus!

i wanna restart this thread...i know its almost summer but i'm so desperate
