A small local store would show you can work closely with customers and other employees.
But, as has been said working shouldn't be instead of volunteering.</p>
<p>I know a person that works in a day care. Also once you are over 16, you can get a job at Best Buy. You can work at a library or a book store. You can also work in a restaurant.</p>
<p>when i was 14, 15, and 16...i worked summers at the local university, UMBC...they hired kids starting at 14 to work in a shop at the physical plant...</p>

<p>i knew this girl who lived like twenty minutes away from universal studios hollywood. she worked in the coca cola water park thing...playing with kids and keeping the spirit "up"!!!! she said it paid well and she loves kids. the best job ever. seriously.</p>
