We know many of our members here at CC already have made their final decision on where they’ll enroll in the fall, but we also know many are still waiting on pins and needles for the last round of decisions from Ivies and others who synchronize their acceptance announcements. (Our server people LOVE that practice! ;))
If you are one of the lucky ones who has everything buttoned up, congrats!
If you are still waiting, best of luck from everyone at CC - our hard working volunteer mod team, Dave Berry and Sally Rubenstone, and our technical folks who work wonders to handle ever-higher traffic levels even as we add new features.
We all hope you have found CC to be a useful part of your college journey, and hope you’ll stick around to share your experiences and help the next generation that’s just 12 months behind you! Thanks for your amazing participation here - it’s our members, who devote so much time to helping each other and sharing their knowledge, that make CC great!
^^^agreed. Many thanks to CC–I never posted until this month, but the advice/info I received from peeking in on the discussion boards was invaluable. The whole college admissions process–everything from deciding which AP class to take to being a recruited athlete–has become a convoluted mess and this website is a fantastic way to make more sense of it all.
Best wishes for good news this week. We went through the waiting and indecision last year and have a couple of years before we do it again. All I can say is that I am glad the wait is nearly over for everyone.
Thank you! CC has been a great help for so many high school students and beyond, all while maintaining a simple concept of students helping students. I will not forget how this site helped me through my journey, and I will not forget to help the Class of 2015 and more with all their college questions.
By the way, some site feature like ads, Facebook connect, and CampusVibe are off for a little while to keep the site fast as we set traffic records today.
From a business perspective that seems like a bad idea. (I’m Applied Math + Econ major) However, I think that it’s great that you and the rest of the CC team are allowing the website to run as smoothly as possible at this important time. I am really impressed by the selfless act.
@mumsyM - Stanford is not the last - U of Notre Dame sends out the decisions by mail only - and have told applicants to expect it “some time” before April 9th!!! Don’t know if there are other schools out there waiting that long.
Well, now I just read that U of ND seems to have sent out at least some letters, as someone in IN claims to have received an acceptance letter…so, we’ll see! Maybe Stanford will be last. Hang in there!
