Good luck!

Sorry...my heading was supposed to have read, Did you visit Amherst?

Yup. I visited twice. Once as a sophomore, and once in October for DIVOH. The first time I wasn't really sure what I wanted in a school so it was more exploratory. I thought it was alright, very pretty, but generally blended in with the rest of the colleges I saw. In October I got a much better sense of the school. Every student I met was incredibly nice and willing to help/talk to me. The town was cute, if a little small, and the townsfolk were also incredibly nice and helpful with directions. Nothing really but positive things for me to say.

I also visited twice. I went to Dean's Day as a junior, and then went up for Homecoming as a senior. Dean's Day was very informative, but we weren't really exposed to students or the community. At Homecoming though I talked to a bunch of students, as well as an old friend I ran into, and it was fantastic. Amazing place.

Well with the letters being sent out today, I just want to wish every a final Good Luck, and hope everyone gets in :)

I wonder if the mail will be held up/slowed down because of the bad weather.

Exactly my suspicion.

I'm international and I just got accepted!
(I checked out my email about three hours ago)

Congratulations! You're probably the first one here!

Just checked mail as postman was putting it into mailbox...nothing yet, drat!

Congrats to pinkstones90 and kahulalula who received e-mails and letters, respectively on their acceptance to Amherst today. You will have a super weekend knowing that the waiting is over and you will be headed off to Amherst in the fall.

I also see that some of hopefuls to Bowdoin College have received letters, too.

Congratulations to those who've heard and good luck to everyone else waiting. We're all in the same boat. :-)
