Restaurants on/next to UCR

What are some good place to eat on or off campus @ UCR?

University Village has a Quiznos, all types of Asian foods, starbucks, dennys, pizza and del taco. Its a block away from the center of the campus.

life cafe
sizzling noodle- about 3 bucksof
if u order a combo its a lot
drinks r buy one get one half off at certain hours

haha 3 bucks or so

The Barn
10char

None of the food is all that great. I normally eat at the UV and I have to say that the flame broiler is pretty good. I always order the half n half, but you have to use the special sauce or it won’t taste good at all! :D

I’ve never been to the university cafe or all those cafes near iowa/cranford. I have been to the ihop and the yogurt place though.

I have also never eaten at the barn, but I hear it is good.

yeah barn is good especially chips and salsa

What is the cheapest price for a meal at anywhere?

well at a sit down restaurant, life cafe
at school the flamma pizza like 1.50-1.75 a slice
fast food
bakers and gus’ they have good cheap burgers

Damn, that’s dirt cheap. lol!
Any in 'n out, burger king, mcdonalds, infamous fast food restaurants on campus as well or a 5 minute walk?

depends how fast u walk
panda express at school
only carls jr and wienersnitchel(haha whatever) is close(by the uv)
flmae broilerr, subway, fatburger(dont forget sum places give student discounts)
mcdonalds (kinda far) and burger king across street from mickey d’s
in-n-out too far

I will eat anything with tabasco sauce :D

eewwww tabasco sauce
yeah for valentina, cholula, and sriracha hot sauce

Everyone has pretty much mentioned the places near campus. But if you continue down University Ave. and into downtown, there are a lot of non-chain food and coffee places there. There’s Phood on Main, Tio’s Tacos, Mr. Taco, Pacific Stiks, Omakase, Bella Tratoria, Antonious’s Pizza, Tony’s Lunch Box, Sevilla’s, Art’s Bar and Grill, Coffee Depot, Back to the Grind, etc. I think the only chain restaurants I’ve seen in downtown Riverside are a Coffee Bean, Farmer Boys and Applebees. If you have a car or a friend with a car, there’s a Portillo’s (and a lot of other places since there are a lot of shopping centers) not too far away in Moreno Valley. Then there’s the area near Tyler mall too…

Tabasco sauce is from the South

Cholula is Mexican

Sriracha is Vietnamese

Vietnamese is good, as well as tabasco, but I don’t like Mexican hot sauce as much

I heard there is a frozen yogurt place near UCR

Is it walking distance from campus? Is it good? Cheap?

what about Tapatio sauce

There is also a Chipotle somewhere in Riverside.

ktn09:
There’s a Berrysweet in the UV. There’s also Mumbles (which I like) a little bit further down University Ave., near Ten Ren’s Tea Time; Both are near Sterling Palms, so it’s not that far away.

On another note: I forgot to mention Simple Simon’s near the Mission Inn too.

All these you guys are mentioning is how far away and the maximum amount of time to get to those locations.
