Good Schools for Muah!

Your quaint little examples mean absolutely nothing.

Who's Who is like the National Honor Roll- it is meaningless. Most anyone can get on it, and anyone in academia (especially in the world of college admissions) will tell you that it isn't anything but a resume-filler.

Yes, ask anyone.

Calidan, who are you to say that? Do you personally know adcoms? I think not. Are YOU a member of academia? I think not. Please, don't jump to conclusions.

nothing personal mea. It's just that you've entered our thread and the first thing you offer is pity and disgust for hotivy. just found that amusing. Hmm, anyways, hotivy actually I've joined before EA announcements were out, but some reason my account was messed up and I joined again, without bothering to change my sn. Change of subject, what do you guys think about double degreeing in music and biochem? Think it'd be impossible?

Please, don't make a fool of yourself by extolling the prestige of Who's Who.

And I actually know an adcom at Stanford (a "True" Ivy, in your opinion) who thinks Who's Who means absolutely nothing.

I received it, and I am only going to Brown, that worthless school in Rhode Island. I am not even going to Harvard...

Tore- I don't even know where Rhode Island is. A mediocre state for a mediocre institution. I'm actually kind of embarassed for you. :p

"What do you guys think about double degreeing in music and biochem? Think it'd be impossible?"

Yes, sounds interesting.

I'm actually double majoring in Psychology and biology. Mea--where do you go to school or have gotten into?

Being serious now: I can't wait to live there! :)

Calidan, I agree with you for the first time! Brown IS a mediocre institution and Massachusetts/Conn/NJ is MUCH nicer than Rhode Island.

Me too (hypothetically)! I'm so excited to live in the snow.

BTW HotIvy, I was being sarcastic. Both Brown and RI are awesome.

so hotivy, you say you're very proficient at the violin? Well, what competitions have you won?

ricemanowl - 'Our' thread is more presumptuous, I'd say. I wish I could have entered the thread earlier, but it is not as if I've simply posted without reading what's been going on before. Yes, I do wish hotivy would be more sensible. Her situation is not amusing when you think about it. In any case, I was replying to the topic of the thread which was 'good schools for muah' - it's not your chatroom. Anyway, sure, nothing personal.

From the Top... ever hear of it? My quartet (the arietta) was also a finalist in Fishcoff. Why are you continually questioning my achievements? Have you got non of your own?

Have you ever been to New Haven? It's a dump in many areas. Cambridge? It's not bad, but not great. Princeton is a nice area. But Providence is a very nice city, especially where Brown is.

tore why do you think it's impossible to double in music and biochem?

Mea--please not speak as if I am not here. "I do wish hotivy would be more sensible."
Who are you to say things like this? You come in and act as if you were better than everyone when in reality I am willing to bet MONEY will/are attend(ing) some MEDIOCRE institution. Am I correct??

"tore why do you think it's impossible to double in music and biochem?"

I said you could and that it sounded interesting...didn't you read what I said?

whoa i was away for an hour and you guys have duked it out so much. .haha no pun intended.. (duke...) BUT HEY OMG RICEMAN.. what are you doing bashing rice?!?! THAT IS NOT KEWL!! i dont know.. but it sounds kind of HYPOCRITICAL TO ME that ur SN is for RICE yet you're dissing it... omg.. ur no better than HOTIVY!!! <me =="" in="" horror!!!=""> how is this POSSIBLE?!?! mannn..</me>
