Good Schools for Muah!

Thanks, towerpumpkin. That was much more useful to her than us just insisting and insisting. Now I just hope she'll be ok with that info...

i agree. oh that goes with the national honor roll too. this is a very exciting post to read. :)

Faline, I do agree with you. I imagine that colleges, especially Ivies, look for people who have a strong sense of individualism. Anyone, such as hotivy, can be president of a dozen clubs, have high grades and stats, and have all the right cards, but this doesn't mean he or she has the potential to be a future world leader.

this was the most amusing thread i have read in a long time thx hotivy, people need to lighten up :-D

ahahahahahah oh boy. good times, guys, good times. this thread once again made me laugh harder than anything on CC

I must say that I am proud to have played a small part in this... : P

hotivyleaguewannabe, I actually do have proof that Who's Who is, indeed, a scam.

My high school principal assembled the entire school simply to tell us about the various scams directed towards high school students, and "Who's Who" was on that list. He said that they claim to be a prestigious institution, when they are actually just a company trying to publish a book with the names of those "suckers" (not my words, mind you, these are the words of my principal) who pay money to have their names in it.

Not only did I recieve an invitation to Who's Who, but so did 40 other members of my graduating class, some of whom DEFINITELY did not deserve ANY sort of "prestigious honor."

Please, before you lash out at me, note that I am not attacking you in any way. And please do not say that I am jealous...I recieved high SAT, SATII and AP scores, and I was accepted into Yale University. However, I actually CHOSE to attend a state school (The College of New Jersey) and I am PROUD of it because my scores got me full tuition, full room and board, AND a free laptop computer. So I am going to college for free instead of choosing to simply attend somewhere with a prestigious name.

hey mandas, that's absolutely great! our class valedictorian also decided very early on that TCNJ was the place for her - full scholarship, plus they were paying her to go there (she receives a large sum of money upon graduation). She is a fantastic person, and knowing that she is the caliber of person attending TCNJ makes me think very highly of it. It's a great school with, I'm told, a beautiful campus.

LOL Ashveer you really did make me laugh every once in a while...one time when you posted your stats to save her asking what they were, and then added that you apologize to "normal people" for posting your stats...OH and that you imagined yourself in a white lab coat researching a cancer cure...oh god, I reread this whole thing last night until 5 am and am exhausted at work right now but SO WORTH IT

It's "Moi".

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA, HotIvy's a good friend of mine. :) Great to see this thread she started.

Hotivyleaguewannabechick has got to be the most arrogant, ignorant, imbecile to have ever posted in these boards. However, her posts are so outlandish that she is entertaining. She is a great example of why SATs are ludicrous.I would wonder about my sons if they brought home a gal like that.

What she needs is some training in both diplomacy and humility. Maybe, if she is lucky, she will write her essay and show here ECs in a similar way to what she posted here. Getting rejected by all the top schools would probably be the best thing that could happen to her!

All i will say is...

1) thank you for a good half-hour of hilarious entertainment. Hahaha.

2) i sincerely HOPE that i do not even have to go to college in the same STATE as hotivy...lol. Oh, but she'll only go to HPY, so that won't be an issue...

Can we please find out somehow where HotIvy is actually going to college?

Why does anyone think that this was a real person. All of "her" 77 posts were on one date, Feb. 22, all between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. EST. Just someone having fun, providing entertainment.

"Hotivyleaguewannabechick"-yea no one that DUMB would have the stats she proclaimed, definately a hoax.

Take it from someone who's seen a lot of trolls: TROLL.

HotIvy's going to Rice, lol. As I said, she's a school friend of mine.

Are you serious?

Then why was she bragging about HYPS and patronizing Cornell so much.

BTW, are all her stats for real or is she fake.

You said you go to her school right..?

is she really? Well I'm kind of torn between laughing b/c she kept laughing at Rice, and being glad b/c maybe now she'll realize that the Ivy League is technically just 8 schools that wanted to play football lol

oh, and if you're a friend of hers, maybe you could tell us if she was joking?

HotIvy "goes" to a private school in CA, and Amypianist goes to a public school in Oregon.

Can't trust anyone on-line.

It's the anonymity game. Everyone's messing with everyone else. (almost)
