Google BOLD Internship 2014

This thread is so dead compared to the previous years. I hope this also means less people applying. LOL.

@Lullabies, I know right! lol. If anything there will be more applicants since that movie “The internship” added even more hype to this internship. Sighhh -.- lol

Just turned in my resume and cover letter today. Looking to fill out the supplemental after I get off work :).

@Evasian Awesome! Good luck!

I have a 3.62 GPA and not really involved in Leadership positions like others. however, i’ve seen much of the world and have a pretty good grasp of cultures and such do you guys think that’ll make up for my lack of leadership initiative? :/

I’m forward to this application process! Does anyone know when they start contacting people for interviews?

I’m guessing everyone got this email earlier today:

Hi KE9016,

Thank you for applying to Google’s 2014 BOLD Internship program! While we review your application, please review the information below to learn more about our hiring process: [redacted]

KE9016: I did receive that email as well on Friday. I’ve gone through other forums from previous years and there isn’t any mention of this email being sent out. It may be something new they are doing this year.

When the Google recruiter came to my school a few weeks ago I thought he said it was not rolling acceptance. From my understanding they’d review 100% of the applications, form a pool, and start narrowing it down from there. It’s strange that the email doesn’t seem to imply that. I submitted mine on the last day, lol

Let the games begin.

So weird, because my email specifically says they are doing it on a rolling basis.

I believe they are doing it on a rolling basis this year - at least that’s what the email implies.

So…anyone getting nervous?

I’m pretty darn nervous. Although sometimes I think of the possibilities and then get real excited at the same time. It’s a mixture of both worlds.

I feel the same way. I’m trying to contain my imaginations of what the internship may be like so that I can spare myself the heartbreak in case I don’t get the internship. haha

I never received that email, hope that doesn’t mean anything bad :(

Tick tock tick tock; we probably won’t hear back until late Jan-mid Feb :(

NoClue71093 - I have a friend who applied to this internship, as well, but did not receive an e-mail about what to expect next as they review our applications.

I’m not sure what it means, either.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey, I applied for the marketing and communications team. I’m a PR and Journalism major. What positions did you guys apply for?

That’s a long time to wait! Yikes!

Economics major applied for Marketing. My school is like literally 10 mins away from Goolgeplex lol.
