They seem to though some people only receive their rejection email the last week.

Still havent heard anything from them yet :S do you think they are still accepting people ?

Has anybody who applied for People Operations offered an internship???

Ive applied on the last day and i still have yet to hear a response

I’ve had to withdraw my application as my deadline for my second choice expired. I’ll be working at the top investment bank this summer in NYC, but I’m unbelievably glum I won’t be at Google. Have a great summer everyone - I am heart broken. :-<

To those reading this in future years, do not wait until the last week. You’ll receive other offers, and Google isn’t able to respond in time due to their flood of applications.

I was always under the impression that the app wasn’t rolling and was even told by recruiters it wasn’t.

Guess for those who submitted it last minute won’t hear back until March :(

Hi guys. I’ve been lurking for a while, but I thought I’d make an account to add what I know. I applied at the very last minute (like, minutes before midnight!) and was contacted mid-January to interview. I interviewed at the end of January, and have not heard from them since. I am starting to feel like I didn’t get it… It seems like most people on this board have interviewed and heard back, or not heard back at all. Anybody know what percentage of interviewees they accept? Anybody here still waiting for a post-interview response?

(Also, just to add: I submitted my official application at the very last minute, but I did go to a recruiting event a few weeks before the deadline where they were collecting resumes/info. That might explain why I was contacted for an interview in January even though I applied after everyone else. Not sure how it all works, just guessing.)

I’ve been following for a while, but with all this talk of rolling thought I would finally chime in. I applied mid-October, received the two mass follow up emails, and haven’t heard anything else. I feel like if it truly is rolling, I should have heard something by now. My friend who applied around the same time found out in early January that she was not moving on in the process.

Hey so I heard from a credible source-- not hearing anything is good news–it means you are still in the running or application is being processed. Good Luck to everyone.

@Brebre, does it mean you’re most likely going to get an interview? Google is really confusing haha…

Anyone else just got another follow up email about waiting time?

@Brebre1, does this include their check in e-mails, about being patient and so forth?

@Calicious, I just received one, as well!

Just received the follow up email as well. i was so scared i thought it was a rejection lol

Did anyone NOT get a follow-up right now? The last follow up I got was in December. I applied towards the end, but still within the designated timeframe.

@JessaK I didn’t get one either. I don’t know if that’s good or bad… lol

Hey everyone,

I got a follow-up e-mail today as well.

QUESTION: I was recently awarded a fellowship that gives me funding for housing/food/transportation as long as I get an internship in NYC. In my application, I indicated NYC as well as other locations in my location preferences. Should I send an e-mail saying that my preference is now only NYC? Or should I simply wait to see if I get an interview and bring it up then?

That follow up email scared me too! lol

@Jessak I didn’t receive that email either. The last update email I received was also in December but haven’t heard anything since. I have no idea what it means…

I have no idea what these follow up/check in emails mean…but i did receive one as well.
All i know if you haven’t been rejected yet, hearing nothing is better than hearing somethigng negative
