Google BOLD Internship 2014

I also got the follow up email today. I applied in early November for marketing, advertising and ‘im flexible’

I applied in mid-October and just got the follow up in December. Google is killing us with the wait and emails!

I didn’t receive a follow up email this time either. The last time I heard anything was early December. That means I did not receive the post holiday status email nor this latest email. I have no idea what that means for my status. I applied for finance, analytics, and operations. Did anyone else apply for any of those functions?

For those that got an email, what exactly did it say? Is it similar to the one in December? I’m just curious since I am out of the loop. Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong, but it serms like most people who have heard back one thing or another chose Marketing as one of their choices. I wonder if these statuses are sent out from only some of the functions at Google. Maybe finance is waiting until after they report their financial statements.

I’m in a similar situation as you SFBayBoy. I applied for Operations and the last email I’ve heard from them is from early December as well. I guess a lot of us are still playing the waiting game.

I applied for People Ops & marketing so not necessarily the function that is holding back those emails IMO.

I am also curious, does anyone mind sharing what the new follow up email said?

Hi —,

Thank you for your continued interest in the Google’s 2014 BOLD Internship program! We appreciate your patience throughout this process. In the meantime, if you’re interested in how Google hires read down.

Thanks again for your interest in Google!

Google BOLD Team

thanks @Calicious

I haven’t received the follow up emails either.

I applied in November as well, have not received anything since the confirmation email. Not sure if this is good or bad, but I know someone who got a rejection not long after applying. So many not hearing back soon is a good thing?

To be honest, I don’t think the follow-up indicates anything. It might just mean we should expect a longer time for a reply… VS people who haven’t. Maybe you’ll hear back in the next 2 weeks.

It’s the waiting game so you’re definitely not alone! ;)

Hey guys,

I interviewed over two weeks ago with people ops and still haven’t heard anything back… Anyone else in the same boat? Will they contact us with decisions by phone?

ugh waiting really sucks.

@tscali11 When did you apply?

I applied the night before the application was due, but I have a competing offer that expires in a couple of weeks. I filled out the form for that in january, and got an email about interviewing a few days later.

Anyways, I wonder how many people applied for google bold and how many people are accepted .

After gathering data from previous threads, it seems the final number of inters are around 140.

Does anyone know Google Bold intern contact email? I can not find it.

The faq page doesnt seem to be there anymore but when I contacted them about questions before the applications closed I emailed bebold@google.com. Not sure if that’s the right one for your inquiry but you might as well try it.

Will someone post a brief description of what your phone interview was like?

Am I the only one worried that I’m not going to get contacted at all? Or is that just me?

I worry that I won’t be contacted either, but I’m pretty sure they will contact everyone one way or the other. It’s just a matter of when and not if. It just would suck hearing a rejection in April or May though.
