Got a 2, what now?

Do colleges find out? How can I prevent that? I am so shocked right now. I worked to hard for that test. My teacher kept telling everyone how I was going to get a 5. I feel so embarrassed because my school will see that. I can never face my teacher again.

What AP test is this for? I think you had an option to send your results to a college of your choice (or not) when you were filling out your forms. What did you put down? AP scores have a low impact when in comes into the admissions process. HOWEVER, they do come into consideration. If you received a good grade in that AP class and did so poorly on the national assessment test, it may look suspicious… it may seem as if the class may had been an easy A type of class, or you did not take testing seriously. Do well next year to redeem yourself.

It’s for euro history. If I cancel the score will colleges still question the difficulty of the class?

you send only the scores you want to colleges.

You move on.

You don’t have to send the score…although it may seem fishy that you have taken the class but no score for that class has appeared.

You know if your still going to be in high school next year, you can always consider retaking the exam. Some people just have bad testing days. It’s no big deal. You can take an AP exam every time it’s offered. Even though you might not be able to cancel the previous score (there’s a fee and it won’t be erased forever) , all scores are reported. So if you do get a 3+ on it the next time you’ll get credit. (:

If you are confident about your performance, I say rescore. And if that doesn’t work out well, retake.

Btw, I know a guy who got into Harvard this year with a 2 on AP Chem.

Reakte 10char

I think I am just going to cancel since I am taking IB full diploma next year so I will not have time to Study for a retake. How do you cancel a ap score?

Ps on the score report there is a random space In my first name, do you think they messed up? And would that have to do my score?

Are you serious? Your self worth depends almost solely on an AP Euro score such that you “can never face your teacher again?” It’s one AP test out of a bunch that I’m sure you’ve taken and gotten 5s on. Study harder next time.

Ps on the score report there is a random space In my first name, do you think they messed up? And would that have to do my score?

You would need to call them up to find out if a space in your name could affect your score. But remember that an extra space might cause it to go up or down. If the space did in fact affect your score, then with a 2, the chances are 75% that removing it will improve the score.

I would say to go for it. Rescoring is $50, but space removal is free I think.

^^^^ I’m just joking, in case you have any doubt. My serious answer is: just don’t send it, and definitely don’t worry about it.

My school was miscoded and I didn’t get the scores I expected… should I rescore?

Was there a space in your name?
