Yes, getting a D in AP Calc 1st semester can impact your chances at the UC’s especially if you do not repeat that semester with a passing grade. Regardless if you dropped the class 2nd semester, the D will be on your HS transcript and calculated into your UC GPA (UC’s only use 10-11th grades).
