Flip a coin.

Oh no don’t get me wrong, if I get into LA I’m going. My mom will force me, she does pay for my car and education after all. I’m just hoping I do get rejected so I can go to SD and have a really awesome time. But I can’t ignore LA’s prestige either D:

If not LA, then Cal. If not Cal, then UCSD. If not UCSD (which won’t happen since I already got in, lol) then Davis. If not Davis (still pending) then peace corp.

Seriously, I’ll join the peace corp. Then I’ll reapply when I get back.

Not to rain on your parade but I am almost positive that you need your bachelors to get in the Peace Corps.

oh ****, that’s right. sorry, i got confused with that b/c my old hs teacher didn’t go to a university right away, he went to the peace corp. but that was back in… oh, 1960’s, lol.

i meant to say join cosmic volunteer. christ, i got jumbled. cosmic will probably send me to nepal for 6 months or something… we’ll see how it goes, lol.

Dude that would be so awesome to volunteer in Nepal for 6 months.

Transfer admission rates are different for every major. The School of Theater Film and Television at UCLA for example, had a 3 to 4% admit rate.

“If not LA, then Cal. If not Cal, then UCSD. If not UCSD (which won’t happen since I already got in, lol) then Davis. If not Davis (still pending) then peace corp.”

If not Cal, then LA. If not LA, then UCSD. If not UCSD (which won’t happen since I already got in, lol) then Davis. If not Davis (still pending) then starting over fresh at Mission Community College while changing my major to astro-physics and getting straight A+s. That’s the hottest plan.

lol.

going to nepal would be pretty cool. i would live in an orphanage and teach english. but the fact that i’m asian would be a bit complicated… also i just came back from ghana. i’m banking on the fact that if for some reason, my last part of the plan must be carried out, that i’ll be ready to leave the country again, lol.

no place like home, as they say.

What are you majoring in? Social Welfare? English? Your career path seems so adventurous and unconventional; it’s so different than my path of wanting to be in Human Resources in a big corporation, haha.

I am strongly considering joining the Peace Corps but I still want to go get my MBA or go to law school.

i am strongly considering eating at kfc tonight. i just saw a commercial for the hot wings and im hungry now.

The hot wings sucked I tried them.

KFC sucks in general.

You obviously have never tried the KFC Snacker. But Seriously Albertsons has really good fried chicken.

samK2987 – i’m actually interested in teaching or law. i’m lucky enough to do these kind of things, go volunteer for long periods of time in distant countries, thanks to my father’s financial security.

i always get laughed at or mocked for saying this, but since i was a kid i’ve felt an obligation to do something for others that doesn’t necessarily and obviously help me. just because i’m not in that situation, it doesn’t mean that i’m not supposed to give a hand.

if i really wanted to change things in those far off places, i’d go for politics/law school/business school. but i’m in law or teaching to change the little things close to home. i’ve been out there and i’ve come to realize that i don’t have what it takes to be a shaker and mover, to fix the broken and to right the wrongs.

i’m just going to be one of those that pass through life, doing what they can to make what’s best of what is around them. but at least i’ll pass as a more enlightened being. =)

Papa John actually has pretty good chicken strips.

what??? stop hijacking the thread!!

SD and LA is a big difference… 65percent for SD and LA is 40something percent because of TAP with out TAP it should be pretty tough.

SD and LA are NOT that different, SD is a great school, LA is my first choice but i seriously think LA has the reputation it has because its MARKETED through its sports programs, More people know about there basketball legacy then their academic achievements. SD on the other hand has no major D1 sports program so it never gets that national publicity that LA does.. In fact schools have always reported an increase in applications after they win National Championships… Im sure if SD was a sports powerhouse it would be seen the same way LA is…just my 2 cents…

p.s Im sure if i get into LA i will totally disagree with this LOL…
