cherryvaseline- very well said.

Sad to say this but UCLA and Berkeley expects you to handle a heavy workload in your lower division classes because in upper division work, it would be way more work than in a community college.

Hmm, for some reason I’ve never thought of it that way. I’ll probably never find out if I was going to succeed but I know for sure I’d be more miserable about but I’ll know for sure I’ll feel more miserable about getting into UCB, failing, then being kicked out instead of getting rejected.

I dont mean to sound mean but this is the dumbest thread i have ever seen on cc. 3.0 and the dudes thinking of appealing if they made a mistake…

I’m sorry but I just had to say blackmamba and twistnswif are on point and probably said what most people were thinking.

Before jumping all over the OP for his 3.0 GPA everyone should realize that Earth and Planetary Sciences is a very tough major requiring the completion of courses in Calculus, Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry and Geology. Getting a 3.0 in this major probably requires at least as much intellect as getting a 4.0 in Communications, Political Science or Business Economics does. The OP’s mistake was not realizing that to get into highly rated programs in this major requires extraordinary intelligence combined with an extremely strong work ethic.

lol @twist
