I took the SAT 2 for math and chinese in November and had the scores rushed to Wharton, my early decision school. I still, to this day, have not recieved my scores, and I believe this was a huge contributing factor to my rejection, as Wharton practically requires a math and a language. but done is done.

Chance me, although it will still be quite some time before I recieve regular decisions.

Your GPA definitely did it for you.You should have chance at UChicago, CMU, NW. You might have chance at UCB and Cornell. I don't know other schools.

PS. There's no possible way to describe my recommendation to those who sue everyone they see for nonsense causes and save my posting privelleges on this board.

what do you mean you haven't received your scores? in the mail you mean? if you rush your scores you only receive them once - about a month after you've taken the test. can you view them online? since you said you rushed your scores online, i'm ASSUMING you did. there's usually a little box which lists all the schools you've sent scores to, so check for penn on that list -- or better yet there's also a nifty little option i've discovered that lists the schools for each sat score that was sent out and the schools you sent them to.

and yeah - wharton is HIGHLY competitive... one of my best friends who is simply amazing, 4.4/2320/numerous awards ECS and whatnot got deferred from wharton as well... so don't feel bad, lol. i highly doubt it was your sat scores that did you in at wharton.

and also on the site it lists - "Candidates to the School of Engineering and Applied Science or the Wharton School are encouraged to take a Mathematics Subject Test." ENCOURAGES... meaning they shouldn't have been able to reject you outright for that issue.

yeah i agree. even if u had ur sat scores, u woulda been rejected from wharton anyway. its the cream of the crop for business schools 4.0's and 2400's apply there and dont get in so i dont htink u have much to be bitter about.

I'm not going to chance you, but I will tell you that the most money you could possibly hope to receive is the cost of rushing your scores. It says on their website whether you've been processed; if you didn't check this or call them etc, you basically have no case.

First off... sueing collegeboard is just stupid. Your GPA is pretty bad for UPenn, Wharton especially. You would have been rejected anyway. You also received a 670 on your Chinese SAT II, if I remember correctly an 800 on that test is like in the 70th percentile or some crazy low amount - compared to the other people who took that test (who are probably all Asian like you and therefore competing against you), you didn't do too well on it and Wharton receiving it might have actually hurt you. In addition, while your EC's look alright in their quantity, their quality seems to be lacking. There's the school newspaper, an the chess teachers's assistant, both under two years in participation. You don't really seem to have a passion for anything, or at least thats what you showed in your application.

On to the positive... although you have no shot at Wharton or Cornell, and slim chances at Chicago, I think you'd have a good shot at all the others.

Did you call Penn to ask if they had recieved your SAT II scores? I doubt the suit will even go through. Your grades/scores are bad for Wharton and your ECs just can't make up for that. Neither can whining or suing to assign blame. Put it behind you and apply to the rest of your list. With the right attitue, you should get in to several of those schools.

You misread his post. His scores were:
biology 750
US History 670
Chinese ---
Math 2C ---

I'm assuming the two --- were the scores he hasn't received.

yeah, i called them and I should get my scores tomorrow. Wharton was a reach, I agree, and being Chinese didn't help things, because college is getting harder and harder to get into. As for Cornell, I'm applying to the school of Agriculture and then transferring to LSA if I get in. I'd be very pleased if I got into Michigan, UCLA, UCSD or UCB. As for a 'passion' I have, it would be music. I've been doing it since I was 8, and even though I only have a few awards, it would be considered a passion. and I'm not suing the college board if I get my scores in tomorrow, as they promised.
