^It's funny how everyone seems to think UCSB is so easy to get into. At my school, people get into UCD and UCI but not to UCSB.

haikumarukuchan, hopefully u got into somewhere you wanted to go to in the end.
Anyways, the majority of UCSB admission decisions are out today at 3:00. I guess it some came out a bit before that cuz I just checked (around 2:40ish) and got accepted!
This feels a bit better after getting rejected from UCSD. I'm still waiting for UCI though =D
Good luck to you guys!

Yeah...same with my sister..she got rejected from UC San Diego and Davis...It will be a huge reach for you to get in UCLA since you got rejected from UCSD and UCD. I already got rejected from UCSB, UCSC, and UCSD!! I am sooo bummed out..I'm still waiting for UC Irvine. I hope you get accepted to at least two UC's!! GOOD LUCK!

Why does everyone think it is easy to get into UCSB?

Statistically it is the 4th hardest UC to get into, behind: UCSD, UCB, and UCLA.

Just because UCSB has a party reputation does not mean it isn't a sound institution.

^UCSB is slightly *behind UCI (49% acceptance as opposed to 48%)
and why is UCI taking so long to post decisions?
has anyone officially been *denied from UCI yet?
i got accepted, and about 4 of my friends (as of today) have been accepted... but a lot of people are still wondering what to expect..
i mean, i dont think they notify admissions in a specific order? no right?
i'd imagine it to be pretty randomized..

Same here! I also got rejected to UCD and UCSD! :(
UCSD was my 1st choice..so it was disappointing. UCSB send notifications of decisions today. Check it on the UCSB admissions page. It should be on there. I'm still waiting on UCI. Good luck! =]
