I'll be a freshman at UT in the fall. If I have a 4 on the AP US Government exam, and I plan on taking the UT Austin Texas Government test when I'm at UT to get the 310 credit. Can I take the GOV 312L equivalent course at a community college, even though I have no officially fulfilled the GOV 310 course without the exam? I'll call them monday, but just wondering what answers you all have now. thanks.

Watch out - most cc’s don’t have the right equivalent. But yes, if yours does, you do not need to take the two classes in order.

Fall when? It is the fall semester now.

MidwestMom is correct about the problem with transferring credit for the intro government classes from community colleges. Why dodge it at UT? Brownlee is an interesting professor for 312L and he is not hard.

I will be a freshmAn in fall 2010. I am top 10 and will choose UT. I just think gov is a good class to take at a cc.

Well, I’m planning to take some classes at ACC, reason being cos it’s cheaper
