I have credit for govt 310 already and I would like to finish the required six hours of govt. Im already scheduled for a govt 312L course with professor Weyland. He requires six books already, and in one of the posts I read that govt at UT is pretty intense and requires A LOT of reading and well let's just say I'm not very fond of studying govt as it is :P How is govt courses here at UT? I'm a freshman so I dont know many people who have taken govt courses already ;) So now I'm wondering whether it will be better to take it at a community college or here at UT over the summer or so.

I would say do it at community college. So much easier.

I’m in GOV 312L right now with Enelow. We only had to buy one book, and the class itself doesn’t seem remotely difficult. I think you got the hard professor… In my opinion, unless you’re a government major (which I am), you should take the second part of government either online or at a CC.

Comm college fo shiz.

But if you take it over the summer at UT just know there are not always a lot of choices in teachers so if they all suck, you’re screwed. I got really lucky like two summers ago and ended up choosing a good teacher out of the TWO choices there were for 312L.

Btw I totally recommend taking Professor George. I think she only teaches in the summer though because she is from NY.
