GPA a bit low- ALOT of ECs (+passion)- SAT WILL IMPROVE hopefully= BUT WHERE?

<p>Bonjour all of u out there.
I was just wonderin if you could help me out and recommend some schools that would match my ability.</p>

<p>2 REACH schools (10 to 20 %) chance of gettin in</p>

<p>3 Hard schools (30 to 45%) "</p>

<p>3 targets (50 to 70%) "</p>

<p>EDUCATION
• Culminative grade average is an A- (3.67/4.00)(funnily enough this is top 10% in my year of 250 kids). Advanced Placement [AP] Biology during my sophomore (grade 10) year and passed the course with a solid A; also received a 5 in the AP exam.
• Currently taking AP French (5), AP Chemistry, AP American History and Pre-Calculus Honors. Will most like receive a B+ in French, an A in Chemistry, an A- in History, and an A- in Pre-Cal. (exams unsure but chem is a 5)
• Enrolled, during the summer of my sophomore year, in a college semester credit course in Biotechnology at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Engineering and passed with an A-.
(Intense lab work. Approx 4~5 hours of lab work per day)
• In 2006-2007, will be taking AP Economics (Micro and Macro), AP Statistics, AP BC Calculus, AP French (6) and also AP English.</p>

<p>ACTIVITES
• Elected Senator of Discipline for Hong Kong International School.
• Developed the Science Center. The Science Center has its own classroom in HKIS where AP students help tutor and mentor students who need help in science. (founder and director)
• Creator and Director of the Science Society of HKIS. This society moderates the Biology and Chemistry Science Olympiad Competitions in HKIS and recognizes talented young scientists and teaches Advanced Placement material and more, separately after school. Will be mentoring 8 students next year.
• Elected as the JV Basketball Captain for two consecutive years.
• Varisty Swimming Captains of HKIS this year.
• WAS First cellist of the HKIS String Ensemble. Currently, only a hobby.
• Have over 60 hours of community service work. (Helping mentally challenged children in the Hong Kong Red Cross Residential School.
• Amnesty Letter Writer for 6 years
• Honors Biology Teacher Assistant</p>

<p>ACHIEVMENTS
• Led a small group of four students in the High School Mathematics Competition in Modeling [HiMCM]. Of over 200 teams all over the World, received the National Outstanding Award and were ranked in the top 2 percentile. The model created proposed a solution to the exponential increase of fuel price in times of disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina.
• Studied individually for the United States Olympiad Biology exam and passed the first round into the top 10 percentile.
• Member of the National Honor Society (since sophomore year)
• 4 times on the High Honor list
• Once on the Head of School Commendation list.
• Score of 97 on the American Mathematics Competition.
• Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award and Scholarship nominee (one out of 3 students chosen)
• Numerous Swimming Medals (ranging from gold to bronze) won in China Cup Swimming, Hong Kong Interschool Swimming and Singapore Meet.
• Champions in the Hong Kong Interschool League. Runner up in the International Christian School League (even though we played in an Varisty pool).
• Won a Gold in Discuss and Gold in Shot Putt during the 2004 Interschool Track Competition.
• Honorable Mention in the South China Morning Post Photography Competition (amateur pool).
• Dedicated Cellist of the Year (2003~2004)</p>

<p>jeez... but like all these people who are like waving around 3.98 !!!</p>

<p>THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON IN MY YEAR WITH +3,9 hahaah
and NO ONE has every graduated with culminative 4.0</p>
