I always thought that gpa was calculated by multiplying your grade number by your classes and then dividin by classes but then I heard the number of credits is also factored into your grade. Does anyone know hw it is really calculated?

There is no universal way to calculate GPA.

There is for most colleges

Amarkov is right. That being said, [Calculate Your GPA](GPA Calculator ⭐ Reliable and Easy To Use | Back To College)

bu when i calculate my gpa that way, its different then what Naviance says me GPA is

Because there is no universal way to calculate GPA. Different people use different methods, which will give different results.

Also apparently GC’s put weird numbers into Naviance sometimes. Have you got your GPA on your transcript?

nevermind, checked my gpa and it does go by the number of credits the course is worth, unfortunately. The only school systems I know that recalculate GPA to their own methods is UC and California State schools

Check your transcript. GPA isn’t universal.
