Can someone please tell me where on UF's site I could find the formula they use to calculate the weighted high school GPA? I know I've seen it before, but today I just can't find it!!!

Thanks!

Add .5 for honors, 1 for ap

A+ - 4.5
A- 4.0
B+ - 3.5
B - 3.0
C+ - 2.5
C - 2.0
D+ - 1.5
D - 1.0

Actually, UF does NOT use plus or minuses when calculating your weighted GPA. Everything gets knocked to the whole letter (an A+ is a 4.0 and a B+ is a 3.0 and a B- is a 3.0). Then you add .5 for honors and 1.0 for AP/IB. So, a B+ in an honors class is a 3.5 but so is a B in the honors class. A B+ in an AP class is a 4.0. Get it?

Wow, so much for the GPA I thought I had...

Thanks to both of you for your responses. According to that scale, DD has a 4.5 cum right now after completing her Junior year. How does that look for her? She's finishing up her application in the next week!

That's a great GPA. It puts her above the median

I'm at FSU right now and I'm so jealous of your grading system... we have the stupid, antiquated minus system which just KILLS GPA...

I think people may be talking about 2 different things here. almagetty is asking about high school GPA converted to UF admission GPA while ladistar is talking about a college GPA, I think. Anyway Bob Turba's guidance site has a calculation sheet you can use for the former http://cyberguidance.net/college/recalgpa.pdf
Dual enrollment counts as a .5 bump along with honors.

I was just saying in general, imdamom. Not trying to confuse anybody here :-)

That's a great link!

Vincanity, thanks for the encouragement! We'll see how it all turns out!

this might help you [GPA Calculator | Average GPA](http://www.averagegpa.net)

Ladistar UF uses pluses and minuses for the college GPA just like FSU.

Duel Enrollment courses are just as challenging as AP courses, but they all have high standards for grading…They are taught by actual college professors.
In some AP classes, “A” students get 2’s on their exams…
I am not sure how they are weighted, but Duel Enrollment courses should be weighted +1 along with AP classes, and Honors should be +.5

i’m very certain that dual enrollment is +1. someone could provide a link…
