Gpa Clarification !!!

<p>Im confused about gpa, everywhere i go ppl tell me different things. so lets clarify this once and for all!!!!!!</p>

<p>1.) I know UC's dont count ninth grade, but what ivies dont count ninth grade?</p>

<p>2.) People say that in the ivies which count ninth grade, weigh it with less importance than sophomore and junior years. I dont get this, how is it possible to make one year less important if they all count equally in your overall GPA?</p>

<p>3.) Do summer classes in your school count in your cumulative gpa for ivies? College classes? Online classes?</p>

<p>1) i think they all do - if it is on your transcript, it is gonna be counted.
2) i think that this is speculation. every grade should count just as much as every other grade. just because i maned up and did well freshmen year doesnt mean that i shouldnt get credit for that. i think the ivies understand this.
3) if they are on your transcript, they do. i have taken 5 online classes that are mandatory to graduate in fl. they are added on to my transcript and therefore affect my rank, gpa, etc, etc</p>

<p>I applied to UPenn, and admissions there definitely took fully into account my Freshman year. It was not weighed less than my other years.</p>

<li><p>People say they don't. I think they do anyways.</p></li>
<li><p>If it shows up on your transcript. If you took courses at a community college, send the official transcript.</p></li>
