GPA Expectations for Transferring to Schools such as MIT and Stanford

I’m on course to have a 3.9 GPA by the end of this semester, with one B- dragging it down (every other mark is an A+ or A). It also came from my first semester of first year, if that matters.

Will this GPA act as hindrance when being considered, or will it be sufficient enough that it won’t negatively impact my application?

A 3.9 is an amazing GPA. One “B” won’t break your application at all, considering there are so many more parts to it than grades. Keep up the good work in school, be active in your college community and you’ll be fine.
