GPA for college admins

<p>how much do colleges care about GPA (im talking about like competitive colelges like HYPSM and stuff)</p>

<p>for example, will they make a real distinction between a 3.90/3.95/4.00 GPA?</p>

<p>also, i slacked off a little bit beginning sophomore year and also wanst used to taking harder AP classes so i got a couple of B+ and A-. However, second semester, i manage to get mostly As.</p>

<p>Will that first semester of sophomore year haunt me or will they look at it as I improved throughout the year? for example, i got B+ in AP euro first semester and A second semester in same class...(and 5 on test)</p>

<p>do top colleges care about a few B+s/A-s</p>

<p>^ that and this is probably not the best forum to ask. It depends on each case. Don't fret and go out and eat some chickens instead of wasting your time worrying.</p>
