<p>Do top schools like MIT look at your middle school grades if they count in HS?
Or do they just look at your high school grades.?

<p>It depends what your HS reports. If some MS grades are considered part of your HS GPA, then the school will look at them. Otherwise, no.</p>
<p>I sure hope not, because I am in the same boat. I got mostly C's in my middle school classes and they absolutely kill my "high school GPA." I wrote in my application that I feel I could be better judged if grades I got when I was 11 were excluded.</p>

<p>They'll probably like that you took HS classes as a middle schooler, but I don't know how much they'll look at the grades themselves. My 4 weighted As (4 semesters) softened the blow of my crappy Freshmen grades as far as GPA goes, so I was glad I got them in. They stopped allowing it the year after I left, though.</p>
