GPA Scaling questions...

I have currently a 4.957 Weighted GPA and i have some questions about it currently. I am not sure if this is out of a 5.0 scale or a 6.0 scale because i have a feeling its out of 5.0 because i haven't taken any AP classes my sophomore year but I did junior year ( the weighted GPA was during my sophomore year). Despite this, some kids who are higher than me in rank have 5.09, and our val has a 5.3. If my weighted GPA is out of 6.0 , then that means its only a 4.0 on a 5 point scale and that does not seem liegite considering how many AP/Honors classes i've taken and the A's/A+'s ive gotten in them. Whats your opinion?

don't worry what scale it's on. Just know your Weighted GPA and Unweighted GPA and how it compares to other kids. it looks like the weighted GPA is on a 6 pt. scale. However, a 6.0 would be only possible if all your classes were APs or Honors (assuming Honors and AP get the same weight). That means all of your classes would have to AP or Honors your entire school career, which I highly doubt it. Therefore, it's best to determine your UW GPA on 4 pt. scale for colleges.

It looks like your weighted GPA is used for rank so it really doesn't matter what scale it's on since your just comparing your W GPA within your school not at other schools.

You could always ask your counselor.
