GPA suffered horribly because of illness. Can I start over at a different college?

I’m in my school’s disability program. But that didn’t count when I tried filing for an appeal, even with all the evidence it asked for (emails with my doctor, documents, etc).

I have been in limbo with my major do I’ve been changing it constantly (like 3 times) but I’ve come to want to be a dental hygienist. A 2.7 GPA is the minimum and mine is 2.3 mainly because of the classes I couldn’t drop in time because of my illness. So I either got an F or a W.

I’m almost done with my GE (just need Poli Sci and 2 PE classes). I’m wondering if it’s possible to just transfer the classes that matter for GE? Because it looks like I took an extra ton because of my change in major (also tried to appeal for that because I no longer quality for financial aid, no luck).

What can I do? I’ll be talking to a counselor on Tuesday but for now I’d like a peace of mind/advice. Thank you.

Se if you can change those bad grades to Medical Withdrawal. That will require medical records and help from the disabilities office.

Since you know what you want to study, contact the program that you are interested in, and get an appointment with the admissions office there. Bring your transcripts, and have a good long talk with the admissions officer. Find out which classes you need to take or retake, and the grade you need to earn, in order to be eligible for admissions.
