Hello! My daughter is currently a junior, and Baldwin Wallace is high on her list. Her grades are just okay. She had a 4.0 going into this year, but I’m sure it’s dropped lower as she has struggled academically this year(not terribly, but she has a C and no As). Her test taking skills are awful, so I don’t expect a high ACT or SAT score. However, as everyone would say on this board about their child, she is extremely talented. I’m just curious as to the academic expectations at BW and if I should really push her (which equals stress) to bring up her grades or if it will be okay to have a B average.
I would check their website. I don’t think they would be considered a difficult school for academic admission (like Northwestern or Michigan). More like moderately difficult. However grades and test scores can net generous merit scholarships. The website should have the range and average admitted GPA and test scores.
If they want you- they will make the grades work. I know 2 students there who had GPA under 3.0 in HS. Talent is for sure the determining factor
