How do u calculate your core gpa. my gpa for all my classes is 3.875 UW but someone told me that the core gpa will be different. which classes would be considered core classes? most of my electives have been academic electives (ap classes, spanish 3)

if by core gpa, u mean academic gpa. Basically, that will exclude any grades received in sports, PE, afterschool tutoring, things like that. Electives like music or language are part of the academic gpa. hope that helps

Academic GPA is english, social studies, math, science, foreign language, and maybe a social science course such as Psych or Soc. ..art, music, PE, Business courses most schools will throw out when disecting transcripts.

Quick question:

For the requirments for applying to some schools, they ask for 4 science credits and 3 science lab....what's the difference between science and science lab?

Do you have a seperate lab period (usually once a week) where you do an experiment, write it up, etc.? In NY state Earth science, Bio, Chemistry, & Physics all are science lab courses...we have one elective science course "current topics in science" that doesn't have a lab.

haha IM in bio and i dont need a lab class(LOL ITs my second time even tho i passed my regents im goin to a regents-less school now they want me to do it over...) ITs probably b/c i go to A GREAT but retarded ACADemics wise PRivate school!

This is how it goes for my science schedule.........

Frosh year: Physical science
Soph year: Biology
Junior year:chemistry
Senior year: Physics

I am thinking about self studying AP enviromental science also.
