I just got a C last semester in AP Calc (im a jr), and last year i got a C in precalc in second semester after moving across states. In freshman year i had an A-/B+ avg in my advanced math classes. The only other B+'s ive gotten were last year in preAP Bio’s second semester (an 88), and in preAP english (89.4).
(Bad Grade Summary: Frosh-3x A-/B+; Soph- (new school) PreCalc B/C, PreAPBio A/88, PreAPEnglish A/89.4; Jr- APCalc C/?)
Besides these less-than-stellar grades, i’ve taken straight honors courses including APus last year and six APs this year plus an additional seventh hour without falling below high A’s each and every one–do you think the former four or five grades will shadow the rest of my transcript if im considering high LAC/ivies etc how much should i worry about those grades, and would a B this semester of AP calc, an A- in AP Stat next year, and the usual A’s in six AP courses next year make up for past mistakes?(i realize that outstanding ECs, rec letters, testscores, amazingessay, etc. can make up for lower GPAs too, but im just curious about this part spec.)
