My SAT is tomorrow morning and I haven't practiced the essay section very much so I was wondering what grade I would get for this essay. This isn't one of my finer essays, but at this point I'm honestly just curious how I'll potentially do tomorrow morning.

If you want me to score your essay, just link me to it and I'll do my best to repay the kindness.

"The most exciting thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. HE who doe snot know it and can no longer wonder, no longer feel amazement, is as good as dead, a snuffed-out candle."

PROMPT: In which ways have you experienced "the mysterious" and how has that made you feel alive and excited about life? Based on your experience or experiences, discuss how the above quote rings true and how science or art illustrates the "mysterious."

ESSAY:
Most people can agree that the mystery of the universe is one of the most exciting things in life itself. When the mystery is revealed, a person cannot help but feel exhilarated and perhaps even slightly apprehensive. Fittingly, in my life and the life of the great American inventor, Nikola Tesla, the mysterious has undoubtedly prevailed.

An example regarding the mysterious in my own life, was the day I resolved to learn the art of mathematics. I grew up never understanding the concepts of algebra or geometry. In other words, mathematics was a complete mystery to me. Part of my difficulty was the fact that I was homeschooled so many learing helps and opportunities were unavailable to me. Through hard work and perseverance, I committed myself to learning the fundamentals of mathematics within a years time, and in the process I even achieved the GED! The mystery of mathematics gradually became less of a mystery, but the experience of demystifying something so important to me is something I will not soon forget.

Another illustration of the concept of the mysterious, is the life of Nikola Tesla, the great inventor. To summarize Teslas life, Teslas father was an Orthodox priest, and his mother was an uneducated but extremely intelligent peasant girl. Through various struggles, Tesla eventually declared that he would become a scientist. As such, Tesla is known for his work with electricity, and to be more precise, the Tesla coil. The great mystery involved of course, is that at the time Tesla was labeled a madman and a lunatic for the work he had accomplished. He was cast out from society and he died a poor and unmarried man. However, nothing stopped him from inventing. The mystery of the universe and the things within it are exactly what kept Tesla alive and in love with science for 82 years.

Fundamentally, there is mystery everywhere people look. People crave the mysterious just observe the popular trends of mystery novels. Mystery is something people cannot escape, including me. Interestingly, Tesla and I share a common bond: we both adore the mystery of the sciences. I may not be a great inventor, but I am content knowing that the mysterious is never far behind me.
