Prompt: Is it important for people to spend time outdoors and learn to appreciate their natural environment?

Although some people may argue that spending time outdoor is a poor time investment, it is in fact beneficial to appreciate and explore natural environment because it offers real-life observation of knowledge learned on papers and may foster our creativity. The Tribian tribe in the Himalayans and Vietnamese poet Nguyen Trai are typical examples of how nature can solidify our knowledge and inspire our artistic soul.

Living among mountains and forests for generations, the Tribiani tribe in the Hymalayans may be misunderstood as laggards in education, yet their knowledge, thanks to constant exposure to nature, is astonishing. When zoologist Joe Mckenize from Yale University visited the area for his research on tropical birds, he was awestruck by the Tribiani natives', even young boys' aged about ten, astute and electricity-fast ability to distinguish various birds in the arena, even those whose differences are utterly nuanced to the eyes of a world-renowed professor. The constant exposure to, and the deep connection with, nature helped make images and habits of those species embedded in those people's blood. They may not know the flashy scientific names of the animals, but they know a lot more about them than bookish scholars.

Vietnamese poet Nguyen Trai is another figure who benefitted from outdoor activities. A man with a complicated political position and often envied and sabotaged by other politicians, Nguyen Trai had an inclination to seek comfort and soothing from nature, especially his favorite hill Dam Dong. The beautiful landscape and peaceful vibration here had many a time inspired him to create timeless piece of arts such as The Poem about the River, or Moon over the Hill that are regarded as national treasures. The deep connection with nature indisputably enriched the sorrowful poet's soul, encouraging him to live on and to face the envious, corrupted people in the government. This therapeutic effect nurtured a talented man who went on to contribute so much without asking to the Vietnamese culture and its people.

Connecting with nature obviously sharpens the Tribiani people's scientific knowledge and Nguyen Trai's artistic skills.

---- I was taken aback by the prompts. I had to make up both examples. :(
