Some see printed books as dusty remnants from the pre -electronic age. They point out that electronic books, or e-books, cost less to produce than printed books and that producing them has a much smaller impact on natural resources such as trees. Yet why should printed books be considered obsolete or outdated just because there is something cheaper and more modern? With books, as with many other things, just because a new version has its merits don’t mean that the older version should be eliminated.
Assignment: Should we hold on to the old when innovations are available, or should we simply move forward? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.
As human beings we should always evolve and move forward by letting the past go and thinking about the future. If we don’t move forward we will never progress to our fullest capabilities that god has gifted us with. A perfect example for this would be the use of cellphones versus payphones. Or using old medications and treatments if more efficient and reliant techniques have been discovered. We should always give up past innovations if new ones have been found.
We need to always adopt new ways and innovation in life if we are to truly succeed and progress. A few decades ago the only form of communication through the technology was the payphone and landlines. Now after 30 years of hard work and innovation we have come up with smartphones. So for those that say we should stick by old innovations and not move on, ask yourselves this? Does it makes sense to rely on a payphone all the time which in this era don’t even exist just to make a call, when you have easy efficient mobile access available to you. No one in their right mind would do this however we still have people arguing that old innovations should be used because of reliability. This is a completely preposterous sentence. If anything we should be avoiding these old innovations because of their reliability.
Adapting and evolving is part of the human process. As Charles Darwin said Survival of the Fittest is the name of the game. To survive we have to take care of ourselves which includes taking medicine when were sick. In the pre modern era there were many herbal and spiritual treatments that were quite advanced for the time but had no reliability. Now we have evolved and become much more smart which has allowed us to create new medicine in the form of pills syrups injections radiation rays and much more. For some reason many of our older generation believe in homeopathic treatments, which are very good. However what is the point when you have something better that will not only cure you but make you stronger. We are humans and were supposed to evolve just so we can survive, not just stay in one place for the rest of time.

Letting go if past innovations is a very important step in human evolution and survival. Many of us have embraced this while at the same time many of us have not. We just like Darwin invented the theory of Survival of the Fittest. We must move on and let go.

Believe it or not, quantity matters more than quality. If you fill up the whole two pages, you’re almost gareenteed to get a good grade.

Your punctuation is off in some places. You should probably use two examples instead of one. I’d give you a six.
