Grade progress

Does Michigan care about how much your gpa goes up each semester? If they don't I am positively screwed, lol, but if they do it might help. See, first semester of my sophomore year was ROUGH and i had a 2.0 um gpa =(((. Second semester it was pulled up to about a 3.5, now for the first semester of jr year its at a 4.0. If it's still at a 4.0 by the end of the 2nd semester will i stand a chance or will a deferral be out of the question?

From what I believe, I think that it's your cumulative GPA from sophomore and junior years, I don't think they look at the progress just the average.

yes, they're only concerned with the average. if you manage a 4.0 for the second semester your overall average will be 3.375, which is below average for umich but it's not unheard of for people to be admitted with that kind of gpa. if you get a stellar ACT/SAT score and apply right away you'll have a decent chance. ECs, recs and essays also need to be considered.
good luck!

k, thanks.

realistically, i think ull be deferred at the start, then its really messed up from there. good luck

yea thats what i was guessing lol
