Grades in AP classes

Hey,

So, I have had straight As since freshman year, and I have taken all honors courses. This year I am taking all honors and 2 APs, and next year I plan on taking 6 APs. So, I naturalluy do well in my classes, except AP Lang and Comp this year. Marking Period 1 I got a B+,MP2 I got and A-, MP3 A-, MP4 (hopefully an A), and MP 5- B+. So, hopefully my grades will average out to either an A- or B+, while in all my other classes, I will hopefully have As as final grades. How bad does this look if I'm applying to Ivies and little-ivies.

Thanks in Advance!

A B+/A- won’t make or break your app. Don’t worry about it and move on.

Composition is one of the more subjective classes you will take. My daughter finally told her English teacher that it was too much work to get an A and easy to get a B and she was going for the B. It was senior year, however.

Lots of people get into top-tier schools with Bs on their transcripts. A few Bs (I’m thinking 3 or 4) will not make or break you.

Thank you so much! My English teacher wasn’t exactly an AP teacher and many smart students in my class didn’t do as well. Well, I hope AP Lit is better next year!

If you like reading, AP Lit is easier than Lang.
