I am in my freshman year of high school, and have been maintaining decent grades this far. However, last semester I received a B 86% in Honors Algebra 2, and the second and final semester for Honors Algebra 2 is coming to an end and I haven’t been during better. Right now, I have a B 85%, and I have yet to have finals.
When I take the quizzes and tests for Honors Algebra 2, I keep receiving Cs. As much as I study for each of them, I still receive Cs. I have asked my teacher for help and resources, and told me to do Khan Academy. I’ve been using it as practice, but still receive Cs. To my credit, she is a rather harsh grader, but other kids seem to be doing decent.
So my main questions are…
How can I raise my grade?
How can I stop receiving Cs?
Thanks.
I have a few weeks or so until the semester ends.
Can you specifically tell me what sorts of topics you are having trouble on? Are you having troubles with circles, factoring, or maybe even trig?
What types of questions do you get wrong on your quizzes? And, are you studying effectively?
Here’s my tip: study with the right materials and study until you completely comprehend the topic. Your teacher doesn’t seem to be of much help. You should try again and if he/she won’t help, ask a peer or another adult.
I normally struggle on everything based off of my test scores, lol. But to be honest, I feel like I can comprehend most of what she is teaching…I also notice some of my mistakes are just “simple mistakes”
Alright. I would then suggest that you look at those “simple mistakes” and figure out why you make them.
